Grade D Win Munster Intercounty
T'was a very sweet Valentines Day for Limerick Badminton. It has been many years since Limerick were able to field intercounty teams, so on valentines weekend Limerick pulled out all the stops and competed in the G, F & D intercounty at UL. Fierce battles ensued througout the day, for some players it was a first time experience to compete for their county while others took the whole show in their stride. It wasnt to be for the F & G teams on the day, but heres to returning stronger and better next year. However, the Grade D team fought very tense and nerve wrecking battles against Tipperary and Cork, whilst under the management of Jon Moyle. Patience and cool heads perservered and victory was Limerick's. The grade D team, affectionately nicknamed as 'The Blowins' will now compete on April 2nd In UL at the grade D All Irelands.
Well done to all Limerick players on the day.
